Spring 2011
To the membership:
The development of the new IWWA website is finally under way. If you have tried to open the IWWA website recently, you will have seen the message regarding the development of the new site. Unfortunately, the development of the new site got off to the slow start as it took longer than anticipated to transfer the ownership of the website.
Reminder — If anyone is interested in applying for an IWWA Grant this year, you should get you application submitted as early as possible so the Conservation/Grants Committee and the Board of Directors have ample time to review the application prior to the annual Board of Directors meeting. The Board of Directors will be meeting in October, 2011, in Phoenix, Arizona. All applications are to be submitted to:
Arnold Schouten
Chair — Conservation/Grants Committee
Dry Creek Waterfowl
367 Walkabout Way
Port Angeles, WA 98363
I would also like to remind everyone about the Lis Glassco Hudson Memorial Internship program. This program was established to fund the efforts of bringing young people into aviculture. Applicants need to submit their application directly to:
Brad Hazelton
Member – Conservation/Grants Committee
P.O. Box 218
Scotland Neck, NC 27874
Information (schedule & registration form) regarding the upcoming IWWA conference in Arizona is included in this [Spring 2011] issue of the IWWA newsletter.
